Our 290-acre home preserve in Vermillion County, Indiana, is named for its large horseshoe-shaped lake, surrounded by 10 smaller spring-fed lakes.  This is where I shot the dragonfly I use for my gravatar.

I originally set out to photograph these blooms but changed my focus when I spied these love bugs.

If you look closely, you will find one of the bugs contemplating the big leap! My focus is a little off but I did get in some practice trying to shoot from the ground up. Oh, well, practice makes perfect.

Here is a sampling of the floral beauty some of the TT nature preserves have to reawaken the senses.

Both definitely a sight for soar eyes!

Ahhh! The smell of honeysuckle!!!!

These Canada geese and goslings were enjoying their family outing on Big Horseshoe Lake.

While another family tried out the swings, shuffleboard court and horseshoe pit.

This is one of the smaller lakes, named Goose Pond. The lake in the second photo is named Little Horseshoe.

I found the sky in both mirrors more appealing.
