It’s a boy!

No. 7 grandchild was born Dec. 4.

“If cold December gave you birth,
The month of snow and ice and mirth,
Place on your hand a turquoise blue;
Success will bless whate’er you do.”

According to Wikipedia, “the Gregorian calendar has poems matching each month with its birthstone. It is not known whether the 12 poems originally are of the Gregorian calendar or not. In fact Tiffany & Co. published the poems “of unknown author” for the first time in a pamphlet in 1870.”

Our 7-pound, 7-ounce blessing has long fingers, a sign he could become a great pianist, according to my grandmother.

His long toes are a good indication he will grow to 6 feet or more like the gentle giants on his dad’s side of the family.

He sort of has this monk hairstyle going on, but not to worry, stocking caps are in season right now.

He has a tight grip, especially on all our hearts.
