1st of 5 posts: Photos taken while camping Memorial Day weekend in Horseshoe Lakes preserve, one of many Thousand Trails/NACO campgrounds.
Our 290-acre home preserve in Vermillion County, Indiana, is named for its large horseshoe-shaped lake, surrounded by 10 smaller spring-fed lakes. We take our golf cart on “bunny” trails through the wooded landscape to get to the best spots for fishing and taking photos of the flora and fauna.
So beautiful… Thank you dear Sheila, love, nia
Camping is so relaxing, Nia! Thanks for the comment! 🙂
This is such a peace creating group of photos… love it…
What a nice compliment. Getting far from the sounds of the city is soul soothing!
All my camping nowadays is done in blogs on the Internet. lol
I tend to camp out at WordPress more than I should! LOL. Seriously, you should try camping in the great outdoors!
I’m afraid my camping in the great outdoors days are now in my past. Eventually our bodies tell us to move on. lol
Granted my best friend does most of the set up and tear down work. And we do have most of the amenities of home. So we aren’t really roughing it! LOL
On my very first camping trip after graduating from Texas A&M University, my friends simply said that we were going camping in Sam Houston National Forest ini East Texas. When we got there, there were RV’s, big trailers, and one guy had a real Indian teepee about 30 feet tall. Inside his teepee he had a refrigerator, table and chairs, lanterns, napkins, silverware. It was like being at a Hilton. lol
Ours is more like a Super 8, nothing fancy, just comfortable.
