Last of 5 posts: Photos taken while camping Memorial Day weekend in Horseshoe Lakes Preserve, one of many Thousand Trails/NACO campgrounds.
Our 290-acre home preserve in Vermillion County, Indiana, is named for its large horseshoe-shaped lake, surrounded by 10 smaller spring-fed lakes. This is where I shot the dragonfly I use for my gravatar.
I originally set out to photograph these blooms but changed my focus when I spied these love bugs.
If you look closely, you will find one of the bugs contemplating the big leap! My focus is a little off but I did get in some practice trying to shoot from the ground up. Oh, well, practice makes perfect.
Beautiful.. what more can one say… the white of a wedding almost comes to mind…
Thank you bulldog. I appreciate your opinion!
Great, great shots… Thank you dear Sheila, have a nice weekend, love, nia
Thanks so much, Nia. I tried to shoot from different angles. Hope your weekend is a great one!
Well. Who can deny love? 🙂

Thanks so much! I appreciate you viewing several of my posts.
You’re welcome! 🙂
Love bugs: what fun. We have a species of them here in Texas, too. The plant appears to be a type of yucca; is that what it was?
Yes, Steve. Although I am not sure which, maybe filamentosa or flaccida. Thanks for commenting.
