Sentient being? Knot!


To coin a phrase … I couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

“Wait a minute,” in the words of Willy Wonka, “Strike that. Reverse it.”

While capturing Fall color in my neck of the woods, I was unaware the “knots” on this tree in the forest were speaking to me. DSC_3856forblogOtherwise I might have changed my focus … Not!

In my research for a title for this post, I learned a few fun facts.

There’s more to talking trees than meets the eye.

I also learned there’s more to the story of the talking trees portrayed in The Wizard of Oz. Like so many other movies, you have to read the book … “Dorothy of Oz.”
