Found this little plant on the prairie on my recent walk near my Indiana home. Titled it Maroon 3 because the flower has 3 maroon petals, 3 green sepals, and an ovary with 3 stigmata. Prairie Trillium for a name is appropo.

Each flower is about 8 mm. (1/3″) across when it is fully open, consisting of 5 petals, 2 green sepals, 5 stamens with pink anthers, and a pistil with a tripartite style. Read more here.
