Eight River City Art Association members received honors in the Wabash Valley Art Guild’s 39th Annual Spring Art Show May 6 and 7 in the Clabber Girl Museum & Art Gallery in Terre Haute.
Founding member Ruthann Brady of Terre Haute received a First Place for an encaustic piece “Krytos Mountain” and a Second Place for “Fantasy Poppies” in the Mixed Media category. An Honorable Mention in this same category went to Deborah Anderson of Carbon for her Beatles themed intarsia art titled “When I’m 64.”
Founding member Monty “Indiana” Jones of Terre Haute received a Third Place for his acrylic entry, “The Pumpkinseed,” in the Painting category.
Strong Medicine by Steve Harrold
An Honorable Mention in Painting went to Steve Harrold for his Native American themed entry, “Strong Medicine.”
