River City Art Association members Edith Acton of Terre Haute and Sheila K. Ter Meer of Brazil have artwork featured in the Second Annual Juried Exhibition at the Arts Illiana Gallery in Terre Haute.
Juror and artist Frank Gee of Nashville, Tenn., chose 57 works of art by 32 artists from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky, including Acton’s fused glass wall hanging titled “Sunset” and Ter Meer’s abstract digital art pieces titled “Angry Peacock” and “Apache.”
Acton’s “Sunset” received the Artists’ Choice Award at RCAA’s annual juried exhibition in August.
Ter Meer’s “Angry Peacock” has received three awards in 2016 competitions in Terre Haute.
The Arts Illiana exhibition opened Oct. 7 with a reception with Gee, whose artwork also is featured in the gallery through Nov. 23.
