My entry “Through the syc – a-mores …” was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2016 TREES Inc. photography contest.
The image features the sycamore trees in the sculpture “A Song For Indiana” by Teresa Clark and a nearby sycamore in Fairbanks Park at Terre Haute framed by the sheet music to the official Indiana state song, “On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away,” by Indiana composer and Terre Haute native son Paul Dresser.
River City Art Association members Debbie Goodin of Terre Haute, Sheila K. Ter Meer of Brazil, and Spencer Young of Clinton have received honors in the 2016 TREES Inc. photography contest.
“Bicentennial TREES: Celebrating Terre Haute’s Canopy” was the theme of the Bicentennial Legacy Project sanctioned by the Indiana Bicentennial Commission.
“A Bold Stand” by Goodin was awarded 1st Place in the Professional Division. Her image showcases blooming crabapple trees at the Turner Grove inside Deming Park at Terre Haute.
