Ma. Novie Godmalin at Mis Experiencias Personales nominated me for this award on Jan. 17, 2012, the very same day she surprised me with the Versatile Blog Award. I had no idea this One Lovely Blog Award existed so two awards on the same day left me speechless.

Novie is special to me because she was the first person to leave a comment on one of my posts after blogging for 2 months and getting only a few “hits” and “likes.” She is among my favorites of the 35 blogs I am following at the moment.

And then along comes Ray at Novice Journal. She also nominates me for this “lovely” award – on the same day as Novie! My jaw dropped! Ray has a unique writing style. Her poetry is impressive.

There are no rules to accept this award; a thank-you post to the giver will suffice.

I was nominated Jan. 17, 2012, for The Versatile Blogger Award by Ma. Novie Godmalin, author of “Mis Experiencias Personales” after only 3 months on WordPress! She is a great storyteller and photographer and I am honored she chose to include me among the same league of talented bloggers.

Wow! I am thrilled to receive such an honor from someone so talented and more experienced at this.

Sheila T Illustrated is still in its infancy but I now follow 30 blogs daily and see plenty of fantastic examples on how to improve as a photographer and a commentator. A little help like this along the way from my follower friends means a lot.

2. Reveal 7 Things about Yourself.

I love to go to a karaoke bar.

I had a guardian angel tatooed on my shoulder after learning how to ride a motorcycle.

My favorite Nashville artist is Trace Adkins. I have his autograph and I got to shake his hand at a concert.

I am related to Squire Boone Jr., brother to the famous frontiersman, Daniel Boone.

Antiques Roadshow, American Pickers, Big Bang Theory and Two Broke Girls are my favorite TV shows.

I am learning American sign language.

American Idol is one of the few things I have in common with my teenage daughter.
