To paraphrase a song sung by the late, great Louis Armstrong:
I see trees of green … skies of blue … clouds of white …
Bright blessed days … dark sacred nights …
The colors of a rainbow … so pretty … in the sky…
But not on the faces of people going by …
I see my old friend shaking … I hear winged babies crying …
And then I think to myself, my old friend is dying …
What a not-so wonderful world!
I took these shots on a beautiful day in April. This is my barn’s best side. More pleasing to the eye than my previous post taken on a foggy winter morning in February. But …
Behind all that jazz … she is not growing old gracefully.
From the inside … one can see, hear, smell, feel her anguish.
Singin’ the blues … 😦
Photo of the Week series: Every Sunday in 2012 I will either share a photo from my archives or something new I just can’t wait to get feedback on for future art shows/exhibits.
Blogger participation: My hope is to receive enough input on each week’s photo to later post a Bloggers’ Choice of the Month and wrap up 2012 with a Bloggers’ Choice of the Year.
