24/52 Crystal Gardens under black light

I took this photo in June three years ago. A friend and I took a Turner Coaches trip to Chicago. The flora in the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier inspired this digital darkroom creation.

I love black light and scratchboard art. Check out other neon beauties in my Graphic in Nature category.

Photo of the Week series: Every Sunday in 2012 I will either share a photo from my archives or something new I just can’t wait to get feedback on for future art shows/exhibits.

Blogger participation: My hope is to receive enough input on each week’s photo to later post a Bloggers’ Choice of the Month and wrap up 2012 with a Bloggers’ Choice of the Year.

Wednesday WILDflowers

I shot this patch of Crown Vetch at the Thousand Trails nature preserve where we camped last year during the Fourth of July weekend. In their altered state, the pastel purple petals explode like fireworks in the night sky. This neon beauty is from my Graphic in Nature collection.
