One of many views of Clearwater Beach from the Mega Bite dolphin watch excursion we took in June as part of our family vacation in Florida. We spent the rest of the day catching rays on the white sand beach, shopping for souvenirs at Ron Jon Surf Shop, checking out Hooters and eating supper at Cooters Restaurant & Bar before traveling back to our Thousand Trails RV Resort near Orlando.
What are Hooters? Restaurants, of course, and we just happened to stumble upon the original Hooters since 1983.
What’s a cooter?
According to www.cooters.com, a cooter is a type of freshwater turtle, generally found in the south. Cooters, the place, was referred to us by the Clearwater Beach locals when we asked where we could get a good Cuban sandwich.
FYI: I was afraid to take my new Nikon D5100 to the beach so in the slideshow below are my Kodak moments.
Photo of the Week series: Every Sunday in 2012 I will either share a photo from my archives or something new I just can’t wait to get feedback on for future art shows/exhibits.
Blogger participation: My hope is to receive enough input on each week’s photo to later post a Bloggers’ Choice of the Month and wrap up 2012 with a Bloggers’ Choice of the Year.
