Sunday Replays: July Photo of the Month

Time to replay July photos featured in my 2012 Photo of the Week series. Thanks to all WordPress bloggers and other readers who sent me a “like” or comment to help select my July Photo of the Month.

Although My little pony received more likes, The One That Got Away pulled in more comments and one additional star rating, so I have declared a tie for first place. Orlando and Dawn is next on the most popular list, followed by Westward ho! and then Bill L Ampen tree carving.

Click on the Photo of the Week link in my Categories list to read about these and other photos featured in my Sunday series since January.

I will continue to post a POW each Sunday and the winning POM thoughout 2012, culminating with everyone’s pick for Photo of the Year. I encourage everyone to comment on or rate each photo of the week to ultimately decide my “Best of the Best.”

30/52 Bill L Ampen tree carving

This tree is one of many exciting finds on our recent vacation to Orlando, Florida, which included a week’s stay at the Thousand Trails Orlando Preserve campground. On our arrival at the RV resort we found our cabin, then drove down to the lake, where we found this magnificent tree draped in Spanish-moss with the carving by Bill L Ampen. Other than the signature you see here, I know nothing more about this tree or the man responsible for this work of art. My teenage daughter and her friend found the climb more enjoyable.

Photo of the Week series: Every Sunday in 2012 I will either share a photo from my archives or something new I just can’t wait to get feedback on for future art shows/exhibits.

Blogger participation: My hope is to receive enough input on each week’s photo to later post a Bloggers’ Choice of the Month and wrap up 2012 with a Bloggers’ Choice of the Year.
