More pics from our June vacation at Thousand Trails Orlando Nature Preserve and RV Resort.
I woke early a couple mornings to capture the new day dawning over Lake Hancock. I used my Kodak for the mellow yellow sunrise photos you see in the gallery below because my Nikon battery died (I left the camera on overnight). The next morning, my Nikon and I were charged and ready for the more subdued, serene view I witnessed just before the sunrise.
Photo of the Week series: Every Sunday in 2012 I will either share a photo from my archives or something new I just can’t wait to get feedback on for future art shows/exhibits.
Blogger participation: My hope is to receive enough input on each week’s photo to later post a Bloggers’ Choice of the Month and wrap up 2012 with a Bloggers’ Choice of the Year.
Very clever post title 🙂 you’ve captured the dawn beautifully
Thank you so much, Sheila. I am glad I thought of a better title BEFORE I posted this time.
Never can get enough of sunrises (or sunsets)! They are beauty in themselves. I feel like I’m watching the sunrise, from the sun cresting the horizon all the way to the soft blue morning sky. My favorite is Orlando Sunrise 4. Positioning the pier away from the sunrise invites me to walk out on it to view the sunrise more than the others do. I see myself standing there, leaning slightly on the rail, and gazing out towards the horizon. Lovely photos.
Thanks for the compliment, Dezra! I was alone both mornings so it was most enjoyable to take it all in.
Magnificent captures they are all brilliant… nothing like a sunrise to get one going in the morning.. that peaceful time.. and the sunset to end the day also in peace… if more would just take the time to enjoy them the world would be a better place…
Amen to that, Rob. Appreciate those complimentary words!
Beautiful photos.
Thanks so much, Val!
Ah, to have been there with my camera too. Very nice
It was breathtaking! Very calm and quiet. Thanks, Karen, for the compliment.
